Automatic planning

The second word of a mechanical engineer is drawing. This practice has already been made available with the rapid development of CAD systems. In this way the designer and the executor are able to communicate relatively quickly. However, the development has not been finished. Creativity is only a tiny fragment of the process of production. The other part of the work is comparable to that of a hardworking craftsman who does almost the same job during a longer period of time. That part of planning can be made automatic. The incorporation of automatisms makes it possible to abridge the reaction time in the communicational process between the designer and the customer. An excellent example for this in the field of tool production (beside the enormous variety of drilling tools) is the quick and simple automation of the preparation of scale body models and the additional multi-purposeful drawings. The introduced application has been prepared with the AUTODESC body-modelling programme, the INVENTOR9. Beside this, we work with CADcey and CATIA programmes as well.
